Faculty of Dentistry 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was Held
Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) 2023-2024 Academic Year Faculty of Dentistry Graduation Ceremony was held at ÇOMÜ İÇDAŞ Kara Yusuf Congress Center.

The ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, continued with watching the graduation video prepared by our graduates.
Dentist Melis Altun, the top student of the term, said the following in her speech on behalf of the graduating students: “Today, I am experiencing the joy and pride of reaching the profession I have dreamed of since primary school. Before coming to Çanakkale, I thought I would leave here only as a dentist, but thanks to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, I found my profession, who I am, my closest supporters and the chance of my life,” he said and thanked all his professors who supported him in this process, on behalf of his fellow graduates.
Our Faculty Dean V. Prof. Dr. In his speech, Mustafa Tunalı said, “Studying Dentistry is a difficult five-year process and our friends who graduated here today are now our colleagues. I congratulate them and their families. Your only children are now the young dentists of our country. I would like to thank all my teachers for their devoted work. As a faculty, we aim to increase the quality of our education by further expanding our faculty staff with new professors who are well-equipped and know how to work collectively. Especially our Rector Prof. Dr. I would like to express my gratitude to all units of our university, including R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, for their support. I would also like to thank our Provincial Health Director for the beautiful projects that we started to plan and implement in a very short time. We will also do good work with our Chamber of Dentists. We are a young faculty, we will work harder, we have dreams and we are determined to realize them. We have dreams for our university, for Çanakkale, for our country and for humanity. My young colleagues; You are also in those dreams. You exist as successful dentists, you exist as exemplary faculty members of the future, and perhaps you exist as great scientists of the future. Stay true to your oath and always work for our Turkey, whether you are in our country or not. You have a nice way." said.
Stating that he shared this happiness and pride at the ceremony, ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu emphasized that faculty facilities were developed for the education of students, and that all academicians carried out this process meticulously, as well as the use of advanced technology products. “Our graduate students will serve the society as well-equipped, innovative dentists who adhere to ethical values in their professional lives, and we have full faith in this regard. He congratulated all the graduating students by saying, "I wish them success in their future lives."
Following the speeches, an academic award ceremony was held at the ceremony, which continued with a mini concert of "Grup Masraf".
Recently, our Faculty received the orange flag in the "Spatial Accessibility" category and our University was among the universities that received the "2024 Venue Accessibility Award". Assoc. Prof., Head of the Department of Pedodontics, one of the Disabled Unit Coordinators of the Faculty of Dentistry, who contributed to this award. After the academic award ceremony, graduating from the faculty with honors; The winner of the term, Dentist Melis Altun, the second term, Dentist Eda Nihal Akbuğa, and the third term, Dentist Aysu Şahin, were presented with their diplomas, appreciation plaques and gifts. A plaque was nailed to the graduation log by Term First Dentist Melis Altun.
After the graduation students were given their diplomas, Dean V. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tunalı recited the "Physician Oath" to the students and the ceremony ended with the throwing of their caps.
