Disaster Awareness Training Provided
Within the Dental Faculty and the Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center, an academic and administrative staff training on "Disaster Awareness" was conducted by Dr. Instructor Feyza Nur Bekler, a faculty member of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management.
The training covered topics such as Çanakkale's earthquake resilience, considerations when buying or renting a house, identifying household risks, pre-evacuation preparations, gathering and shelter areas, the initial moments after disasters and emergencies, and factors exacerbating earthquake damage. Sedat Kocaman, Sedat Kanmaz, and Erkan Sadi Uysal from the Çanakkale Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) also contributed to the training.
