Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi will organize an award-winning photo exhibition titled "Being a ÇOMÜ Student in the 100th Year of the Republic." Only Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University students will be eligible to participate in the competition. A jury will select 20 photographs from the entries, which will be displayed at the Çanakkale State Fine Arts Gallery.

Exhibition and Award Ceremony: December 20-27, 2023, at Çanakkale State Fine Arts Gallery

Awards: The top 20 students whose works are selected for exhibition will receive one month of free meals at ÖSEM (University Student Center).

TOPIC:

• Photographs that emphasize the significance of the 100th anniversary of our Republic and depict the pride of being a ÇOMÜ student,

• Photographs from events organized at ÇOMÜ within the scope of the 100th anniversary of our Republic,

• Photographs of outdoor spaces, buildings, sports areas, educational and research areas at the main ÇOMÜ campus and its campuses, capturing natural views and ongoing activities,

• Photographs capturing remarkable moments in scientific, artistic, and research activities conducted in classrooms, laboratories, and workshops,

• Directly people-centered photographs depicting social interactions among students, friendships, and the connection established with the campus.

Participation Conditions:

• Participation in the contest is free.

• Only students studying at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in associate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs can participate in the contest.

• Each student can enter the contest with a maximum of 5 photographs.

• Photographs taken with a camera or a mobile phone are accepted for the contest.

• Photographs must have been taken within the last 1 year.

• Only digital images in JPEG format will be accepted.

• The dimensions of the photographs should have a short edge of at least 2,000 pixels.

• Participants can choose to submit color or black and white photographs. There are no technical restrictions in this regard.

• Photographs that have been digitally manipulated using image processing software (additions or removals) will not be accepted. However, adjustments made to enhance the photograph (such as light, contrast, white balance, color saturation, exposure balance, and retouching that does not distort the content) will not be considered as manipulation.

• Legal permissions for individuals depicted in the photograph should be obtained by the photographer.

• The University Rectorate may request the original files of the winning photographs for exhibition from the participants.

• Participants found to have violated the rules may have their awards, titles, and any gains revoked.

• Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rectorate retains the right to reproduce, distribute, and use all photographs submitted to the competition in print and visual media, provided that the photographer's name is credited.

• In matters not covered above or in case of ambiguities, the decision of the organizing committee and ÇOMÜ Rectorate will be considered final.

• Participants accept these conditions.

Submission Requirements

• The file name of each photograph to be sent to the exhibition must be arranged in the format "Lastname_Name_Number.jpg."

• The participation form should be completed in full and attached to the email.

• The subject of the email should be "Participation in the Award-Winning Photo Exhibition."

• Photographs must be sent to comukurumsal@gmail.com by the end of business hours on December 8, 2023.
